ok you’re allowed to criticize love simon, and there ARE things that should be criticized, but one thing we’re not gonna do is criticize it for “making it look so easy” “his parents are accepting right away :// not realistic lol” its. supposed to be lighthearted. thats the entire point of a movie in this genre, which is romcom. its not supposed to be a serious movie. and i really don’t know why people are acting like there aren’t already 5847 movies out there that you can go watch about how nobody is accepting and the main characters life is hell, but a movie like this? for lgbt people? its very rare and its refreshing. let lgbt people finally enjoy a light, cute, funny movie that respectfully ties in with our experiences for once
If you don’t want everyone knowing who you are, just send me an ask on anon with your results. I’m curious as to if there’s a correlation between these, because I am a nerd.
It’s still wild to me that the LGBT history blog on insta Literally likes shit like ppl saying “um anyone who hates [the q slur] had probably never even been called it!”
Gay character written by straight writer: “You haven’t come out?! Are you serious?! What the fuck? I honestly can’t believe this. You weren’t dropped on your head as a baby, you were body slammed, bitch. What kind of loser doesn’t come out in this day and age? Fucking piece of shit. I mean, I don’t think I can be seen with a gay who hasn’t come out like gross! Are you even gay? I give you ten seconds to come out or else I’m taking a shit in your drink. You’re despicable.”
@senorsushi tbh I cringed when I saw muma say he respects the guy bc I get u gotta say shit as minority so ppl think you’re professional and the white or stiraghts don’t freak about being around u but like muma honey xqc isn’t gonna get any nicer and apparently after being fired he’s still fucking whining about a guy who’s main interactions with him is just playing better lol
